Organisers

Mareike Glöss is a lecturer at Stockholm University. Her research is concerned with experiential aspects of technology; most recently in exploring trust and experience in autonomous driving.

Sylvaine Tuncer is a postdoctoral researcher at Stockholm University with an expertise in social interactions and video analysis. She is currently involved in a project on the use of e-scooters in urban environments, and their interactions with other public space users.

Barry Brown is professor of Human-Computer Interaction at Stockholm University. He has ran a number of successful workshops at CHI, CSCW and Ubicomp.  His research explores driving, in car interaction and the design of autonomous cars.

Sarah Pink is Professor and Director of the Emerging Technologies Research Lab at Monash University, Australia. As a Design Anthropologist she focuses on human experience and societal and environmental and wellbeing in relation to future mobilities, energy, health and emerging technologies of automation.

Eric Laurier is a reader in the school of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh. His research has applied conversation analysis and ethnomethodology to in-car interaction, as well as interaction on the road. His work has pioneered the use of video to analyse mobility and interactions while mobile.

Vaike Fors is an Associate Professor at the School of Information Technology at Halmstad University and a member of the program office of ‘Drive Sweden’. Her area of expertise lies in studying how people engage with different forms of mobility through visual and sensory ethnography.

Erik Vinkhuyzen is a senior researcher at the Nissan Silicon Valley research lab. His work focuses on studying interaction between road users, applying that to the design of autonomous cars and new ways of supporting on-road communication.

Helena Strömberg is a Senior Lecturer at Chalmers University. She studies the role that design of products and services can play for creating the preconditions for sustainable everyday activities and in particular mobility. She is especially interested in new design approaches for future shared autonomous vehicles.
